Avishai Abrahami (CEO), Dr. Orit Mosinzon, Nadav Abrahami (VP of Research and Development), and Giora Kaplan (Technical Director) founded Wix in 2006. While working on another startup, they wanted to create a website but found the process complicated and expensive. This experience led them to the idea of creating a platform accessible to everyone for building websites without requiring coding or web design skills, and without requiring payment.
